Day 1 – Rovos Train
Depart from Pretoria Station for Cape Town Rovos Rail, the world's most luxurious train.

Day 4 – Cape Town
Early morning breakfast are served and then off to Table Mountain (weather permitting). We will also visit Cape Point and one of the Cape’s famous wine estates for a cellar tour and tasting. Enjoy dinner at one of Cape Town’s top restaurants at the world famous Victoria and Alfred Waterfront.
Day 5 – Wine Routes
A full day wine tasting tour is scheduled, visiting the Cape’s top three wine areas at Paarl, Stellenbosch and Franschhoek. Lunch will be at the picturesque town of Franschhoek. Visit Canal Walk, one of the biggest shopping centres in the southern hemisphere and enjoy dinner at one of Cape Town’s top restaurants.
Day 6 & 7 – Boat Cruise
Today we step onboard the Tigger 2 Catamaran Cruises. We will overnight for 2 nights and enjoy the many activities onboard the boat. Activities include: Boat Based Clay Shooting Activity, High Speed Rubber Duck, Wet biking, Sea-Kayaking, high speed inflatable tube and many more.
The Rhapsody Cruise boat operates from mid November to mid March each year. Contact us for a quote if this is your liking. Cruises depart on a 4-day Bazaruto Islands cruise to one of the turquoise island off the South African coast. Other options are a 2-nights cruise to “nowhere” (Cape Town to Cape Town) and a 3-nights “Coastal cruise” (Cape Town to Durban).
Day 8, 9 & 10 – Fly to Sabi Sabi
Transfer to the Airport and fly to Sabi Sabi to visit one of the 5 Star Luxury Lodges in the Sabie-Sabie Game Reserve. You will be flown to Mpumalanga Airport or Sabie-Sabie airstrip for a 3-nights stay-over.
Enjoy 3 glorious days in Sabie-Sabie, where you will be pampered with only the best of the best; gastronomic foods only dreamt, game drives, sundowners, champagne breakfast, you name it!

2. Namibia Dessert Express
Day 1 - Windhoek
We fly from Johannesburg International to Windhoek before boarding the Desert Express.
This luxury train runs between Swakopmund and Windhoek and is a must for the Rail enthusiast, but is also highly recommended to anyone who wants to spoil themselves with a luxurious trip. The train has twenty four compartments -- each accommodating one, two or three passengers. The compartments are fully air-conditioned and heated and have en-suite facilities as standard.
Passengers have access to an elegant lounge, unique bistro bar and spacious restaurant that serves the best in Namibian cuisine. Uniquely shaped large windows throughout the train include the traveler in the wide open spaces. This journey has been carefully planned to take best advantage of Namibia's dramatic sunsets and the break of dawn.

Namibia is renowned for its wide open spaces and superb sunsets. The timetable has been specifically designed to coincide sunrises and sunsets. Desert Express departs in the early afternoon on Tuesdays and Fridays from Windhoek Station and calls at the luxurious Okapuka Lodge where you will witness lion feeds close-up before returning to the train: enjoy a sundowner in the relaxed atmosphere of the elegant Spitzkoppe lounge as you watch the sun set over the end plains. Dinner will be served in our spacious Welwitschia restaurant as the train makes its onward journey to overnight at a quiet secure siding.
Day 2 - Swakopmund
Early the next morning, Desert Express leaves the siding and continues on its westbound journey. The train will travel through the Namib Desert and finally behind the dunes between Swakopmund and Walvis Bay, where it will stop for sixty minutes, to allow passengers to disembark and take a walk. The dunes are really unique! The train will then proceed on to its final destination, Swakopmund, arriving at approximately 10.00 am. The rest of the day is at leisure.

3. Rovos Rail - Pretoria to Cape Town

For many visitors to South Africa, there is no finer way to see the country than on the popular 48-hour weekly journeys between Pretoria and Cape Town. After dinner the train will travel south to the village of Hluhluwe in Zululand. Starting early once again, you are assured of seeing a wide variety of game on a morning game drive through the scenic Hluhluwe Nature Reserve.
The Pride of Africa then departs mid morning and winds its way through the lush cane fields and rolling hills of KwaZulu Natal, to arrive in Durban by late afternoon where this scenic safari ends.

5. Rovos Rail - Victoria Falls
VICTORIA FALLS ZIMBABWE A Leisurely Sojourn By Luxury Train via Zimbabwe
This two-night adventure begins as the train departs Rovos Rail’s gracious station at Capital Park in Pretoria. This special journey departs in the morning and slowly meanders north towards Bela Bela, crossing the Tropic of Capricorn just after the station of Soekmekaar.
Once over the Soutpansberg Mountains, north of Makhado we enter Baobab country. Few sights are more evocative of primeval Africa than the eerie silhouette of a Baobab tree starkly outlines against a ruddy African sunset. South African border formalities will take place at Musina and then, very slowly over Beit Bridge, the train will ease itself into Zimbabwe.
Continue in a north-westerly direction passing through Thompson’s Junction and Hwange Game Reserve where we enjoy an early morning game drive. Journeys end is the incomparable Victoria Falls on the mighty Zambezi River.

THE AFRICAN COLLAGE - A Rich Tapestry of Landscape
This panoramic 3400 kilometre 9-day South African sojourn departs annually in May/June. Travel from Pretoria eastwards to Malelane, south to Swaziland and Durban, west to Bloemfontein, then southwards again through Port Elizabeth, Oudtshoorn and George to Cape Town.
After an early morning game drive through the Kruger Park, the train heads southwards to Swaziland for an afternoon game drive. Continue into Zululand for an early morning game drive in the Hluhluwe Game Reserve and then on through KwaZulu Natal for an evening in Durban. During the night we continue onto Bloemfontein, with a morning tour of the city.
The journey continues southwards overnight to Port Elizabeth, with a morning visit to the Addo Elephant Park. An early morning departure takes the train into Oudtshoorn for a visit to an Ostrich farm followed by a spectacular rail descent down the Montagu Pass into George. After a morning visit to Knysna the train sets off from George travelling the scenic Garden Route through to Mossel Bay and Riversdale.
The next morning, after a visit to the KWV Brandy Distillery in Worcester, this magnificent collage ends in Cape Town.

7. Rovos Rail - Dar Es Salaam
An Authentic African Adventure - 28 June to 11 July 2008
In July every year, this epic 14-day journey travels through South Africa, Zimbabwe, Zambia and Tanzania and is one of the most famous train journeys in the world. This magnificent sojourn will take you through South Africa with short tours of the diamond town of Kimberley and the capital city of Pretoria.
Then a two-night stay in a private game lodge in the famous Kruger Park Game area, before crossing into Zimbabwe, with another overnight stop at the Victoria Falls Hotel. After crossing the mighty Zambezi River travel north eastwards through Zambia, joining the Tazara Railway line at Kapiri Mposhe. Enjoy a bush walk and picnic at Kundalilia Falls, and continue the climb towards the Zambian/Tanzanian border, almost the midpoint between Africa’s two Great Rift Valley lakes. Descend into the Rift Valley itself and enjoy spectacular scenery as the train negotiates the tunnels, switchbacks and viaducts of the escarpment.
Early on the last day the train passes through the Selous Game Reserve, the largest on the Continent - a vision of timeless Africa shortly before the bustle of arrival in Dar Es Salaam Station.

8. Rovos Rail - Namibia Tour
An Epic Journey of Discovery
In May each year this 3400 kilometre 7-day journey takes the train from Pretoria to Kimberley, centre of one of the world’s most famous diamond rushes, where there’s an opportunity to visit the Big Hole, the world’s largest man-made excavation, and to savour the 1870’s atmosphere of the mine museum village.
The railway line covers the stark vistas of the arid Northern Cape as the train travels through Upington to the border into Namibia. There is time for an excursion to the Fish River Canyon – second only in size to the Grand Canyon and a truly spectacular sight. The journey continues across the untamed beauty of the Kalahari Desert and onto Windhoek, the capital of Namibia.
After a short city tour and an afternoon game drive the train continues onto Tsumeb for an overnight stay at Mokuti Game Lodge in the Etosha National Park. On the last morning the train passes along the German built railway through the Namib desert and into Swakopmund, a perfectly preserved nineteenth century German Hansa town set on the coast of the Atlantic Ocean.

9. Rovos Rail Golf Safari
A Golf Tour in Gracious Luxury - April, August and December each year
Rovos Rail has designed a delightful nine-day Golf Safari to entertain the most discerning player with optional excursions for non-playing guests at all venues. This journey begins in Pretoria and travels east towards Nelspruit. Play at the Hans Merensky Golf Estate or visit the world famous Kruger Park.
